National Inclusion Week Round-Up

Dornan marked National Inclusion Week with a series of activities aimed at raising awareness of inclusion across the group, promoting our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), and encouraging employee participation.

This year’s theme, “Build Trust. Navigate Change”, closely reflects the core purpose of Dornan’s ERG’s, and provided a good opportunity to highlight the role that employee networks can play in bringing colleagues together and creating connections across different teams, offices and sites.

Dornan’s ERG Collaboration

As part of the week, the Women @ Dornan (W@D) network and Dornan’s Hobbies & Fitness Strava Club partnered on a joint awareness campaign.

The collaboration was a natural fit for National Inclusion Week, with both networks focused on creating opportunities for colleagues to connect and get involved outside of their day-to-day roles.

Throughout the initiative, information on both ERGs was shared across Dornan. This included information on what an ERG is, the purpose of the two groups, the people involved in running them and how colleagues can take part.

Coffee Walks Across Dornan

As part of the collaboration, colleagues across Dornan offices and sites took part in Coffee Walks on Wednesday, 16 September.

The walks provided colleagues with an opportunity to step away from their desks and sites, get some fresh air and connect over a coffee, while learning more about the W@D network and Dornan’s Hobbies & Fitness Strava Club.

There was a strong turnout across all locations, with colleagues taking the opportunity to share their own experiences of inclusion and employee life at Dornan. Colleagues could also learn more about the ERGs by speaking with active members and through information shared in flyers across offices and sites.
