Project Description
As part of Iarnród Éireann’s preparations for the introduction of the much-publicised Mark 4 Trains to Ireland, a new service platform was built in Kent Station, adjacent to the existing maintenance facility. Dornan was awarded the mechanical services contract by John Sisk & Son.
- Supply and installation of all mechanical systems for train maintenance
- Upgrading the plant serving the existing trains, in tandem with the new train servicing outlets
- The new outlets were installed under a canopy between two platforms so the outlets can be accessed from both sides
