Project Description

Dornan was awarded the Main Electrical contract for this global client at the second phase of their Data Centre Operations investment in Belgium. Dornan managed the tender process, selection and management of the security system to the client’s global standard.

The Dornan labour peaked at 300 people on site to achieve the ambitious project schedule including working on a 24/7 basis when needed.  The project was completed with zero time loss for Dornan including sub-contractors.  Dornan managed all Electrical Isolations on site and initial power up of equipment without incident. The project was completed on schedule to achieve the Client’s Facility Ready date.

Scope of Work

Dornan Engineering’s scope of work included engineering co-ordination of all services, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and IST support. The electrical equipment installed included 20 2MVA transformers and 20 associated back-up generators as well as UPS systems, MV&LV Distribution Switchgear, and all associated cabling. Security system subcontract was added to our scope. Dornan completed the handover of all systems and generated all  As Built Cad Drawings for inclusion in the O& M Manuals.
