Engineering in a box!

Dornan Engineering felt privileged when asked to sponsor Steam Education Limited Ireland’s weekly  ‘Engineering in a Box’ programme in Little Island National School, Cork.  The programme commenced in March 2018 and consisted of a one hour weekly session, for 10 weeks.  Each class was made up of a different “engineering activity” to show our budding youngsters that the world of engineering is full of variety and opportunities!  We are particularly interested in introducing engineering to girls at primary level, with the hope that this interest will expand and continue onto secondary level and beyond.  The 10 week programme covered many areas of engineering including, civil engineering, electrical energy, mechanical transportation and the environment.
