Tata Steel Stove 9, Port Talbot
Following the rebuild of Blast Furnace 4 at Port Talbot, Dornan won a follow-on electrical contract supporting the rebuilding and recommissioning of Stove 9.
Responsibilities included
- Supply and install primary containment and support
- In-air monitoring system
- Clear call system
- Hazard warning system
- Local control stations and safety switches: supply, installation and emergency stops
- Instrument cabling and terminations
- Supply and install instrument junction boxes
- Electrical cable supply and installation
- Lighting & small power installation
- Earthing cable and terminations
- Electrical heat tracing install
