Lilly IE43 Plant, Cork
In 2012 Eli Lilly announced the construction of a new €330m plant at their site outside Kinsale in Cork. It’s a 244,000ft2 manufacturing facility on three floors, including clean-room process areas and ancillary functions.
Responsibilities included
- Complete commissioning of all process and HVAC systems, including calibrations of all level, flow, pressure and temperature instruments, and loop-checking of all other types of valves and instruments
- Calibration of analytical instrumentation
- Level strapping calibrations of approx 120 process vessels
- Agitator, fan and motor tests
- Vibration analysis of all motors >3kW
- approx 8000 loop checks and loop 2500 calibrations
