Since 1996, Dornan has been actively involved in the development of Ireland's Infrastructural development such as Defence, Airports, Hospitals, Ports, Clean & Waste Networks and Rail. Today Dornan is recognised as one of Europe’s leading specialist mechanical and electrical constructor whom has been tasked with executing a number of the country’s prestigious developments (as evident in our project profiles). It’s clear that productive infrastructural development is central to economic prosperity. Dornan recognises that if a country is to prosper, infrastructural development across every aspect of the economy is an essential part of the process.
Our prosperity as a company – and future prospects in the counties we operate – depends on the continued ability of those countries to attract inward investment and to trade goods and services onto the international market. In both cases, we understand our competitiveness is paramount and is hugely dependent on the quality, efficiency and reliability of our infrastructure business.
Aside from its economic importance, infrastructure is the cornerstone of modern society. Counties rely upon treatment plants and water mains to supply drinking water; energy plants and gas pipelines for heat and light; broadband to connect us to the worldwide web; roads, rail and ports to deliver the goods we buy and sell; and a waste management network to recover renewable resources. In the pursuit of a low-carbon society, the sustainability of infrastructure and the way infrastructure can facilitate environmentally friendly initiatives at all levels is of essential importance to Dornan.
